Few things are worse than trying to log into a new season of Fortnite only to be hit with an error. While some are fairly easy to solve, others require a little bit more legwork to get around.
If you get hit with the “Sorry, you are visiting our service too frequent, please try again later”, you’re in luck – once you understand where the error comes from, there are ways to fix the problem.
What Causes This Error?
The root cause of this browser actually has less to do with any given player and more to do with Epic’s servers. Understanding that most popular games will eventually encounter those who want to make trouble, Epic took some steps to help prevent DDOS attacks from occurring.
Unfortunately, though, this can end up striking a player who’s trying to log in without wanting to cause mischief.
Typically, this error occurs either because you’re trying to access the Fortnite servers too often in a quick period of time (usually through bad passwords) or because the server thinks you’re doing so. The good news, though, is that you should be able to fix the problem most of the time with relatively little effort.
How to Fix This Error?
This error is connected to your IP address, so the easiest method of getting past the problem is to log in from another IP address. Connect to a new wi-fi hotspot or try logging in on another device – if there’s not another problem connected to a ban or to Epic’s servers, you should be able to get in with relatively little effort.
It’s also possible to wait out this problem. The error typically only persists for 24 hours, so you can just wait a day for it to go away.
It’s not an ideal fix, but it is something to consider.
The best way to avoid dealing with this problem is to avoid triggering it in the first place. If you forget your password, don’t keep hammering the system – simply request a new one and move on.
Likewise, don’t spend too much time looking at any one problem – reset your router once if you think it will help, and always look at the Fortnite servers sooner rather than later. This isn’t one of those problems that need high-tech solutions – it just needs a little bit of basic know-how.
Whether you move to a new network or just wait out the problem, this is one error that’s easy to fix.
Go easy on the Fortnite servers and don’t be afraid to check to see if your computer has other problems – while this error is relatively benign, it could be a sign that you’ve got a virus lurking on your system.
